Assignments
The assignment ruleset
The assignment ruleset enables tenants to sort individual customers or customer groups into specific dunning and communication workflows based on predefined criteria. This feature is useful when tenants do not assign claims directly to specific workflows via API.
Rules' priority
Assignment rules are listed in order of priority. When a claim matches all the expected values for a rule with priority 1, the claim is assigned to the target workflow, and the rule with priority 2 is not validated. The order of the rules can be adjusted by dragging them into the desired order.
If the claim does not provide all the expected values for any of the rules, the claim can remain unassigned or be assigned to a specific workflow. A user can define this behavior in the "If no rule matches" section. Tenants that only use one workflow can leave the rules section blank and only select a workflow in the dropdown.
Draft & publishing cycle
To prepare changes without publishing them immediately, there is a draft publishing cycle. Draft mode can be accessed from the top bar if a draft is already in place. Draft mode can be used to prepare different changes over multiple sessions.
If no draft is in place, one will be created as soon as the rules are edited or the order of the rules is changed. The draft must be explicitly published to go live. You can discard the draft ruleset to start editing with a fresh draft.
